Albert Abude was born in Manila in 1967, he has spent much of his life balancing hard work, family values, creativity, and Christian faith. His professional career as a Stationary Engineer in San Francisco taught him discipline, perseverance, and creativity, but it is his role as a husband to Beng and father to Adsser, Arden, and Aleon and faith in God that has been his greatest joy and inspiration.
Albert hopes to celebrate the extraordinary bond between people and their dogs through Baxter, and to share with readers the lessons of faithfulness, family, and hope that their dog Apollo embodied in real life.
When he isn’t writing stories, Albert enjoys music, writing songs, playing guitar, watching boxing bouts, exploring creative projects, reading books, sharing his faith, spending time with his family and serving God. He also finds joy learning new skills, nurturing his health, teaching, and simply growing wiser in the Scriptures.
Baxter is Albert’s tribute not only to Apollo, but also to the love and loyalty that define family life. It is his belief that every story we tell has the power to inspire, encourage, and remind us of the beauty in everyday life.
